The View: Arsenio Hall Comes Back To Late-Night Television
Arsenio Hall came on the show today to talk about his momentous return to late-night television. After cracking some jokes about Barbara being the only white person sitting on stage today, they got down to business. After leaving the business for 20 years to go and raise his son, Arsenio Jr, he will be making a return to late-night television this fall.
He said that raising his son was very important because, as a child, his father was never around, and he didn’t want that for his son. He realized, however, that he wanted to get back on television when he was on the George Lopez show one day and he got to introduce Snoop Dogg. All of the love that he got in just introducing Snoop Dogg and the experience of being on stage again made him realize that he wanted to get a show back on television.
Arsenio counted himself very lucky to be able to have his son see him in his element when he makes his return.
The View: Arsenio Hall Is Different Than Other Talk Show Hosts
Arsenio Hall is not your average 57 year-old-guy (I hope I look that young at 57), and because of this, he’s not really concerned about competing with younger talk-show hosts like Seth Meyers or Jimmy Fallon.
Not only does he find his brand of show hosting a little different than many other people in the business, but he also can use his children as creative consultants. It pretty much goes without saying that the pop stars if Arsenio’s generation do are not quite as attention grabbing today as they were then, and browsing his kid’s iPod to see who he should book for musical performances in the fall when he makes his come back.
Arsenio Hall’s new late-night show will be debuting this fall. Check it out!
