The Talk: Felicity Huffman
Emmy Award-winning actress Felicity Huffman may be best known for her role in Desperate Housewives. Now she is the woman behind a website for moms called What The Flicka, which is searching for America’s funniest moms.
The Talk: Felicity Huffman & William H. Macy
Huffman’s husband, actor William H. Macy, has been a past guest on The Talk. They have been married 15 years, and she said she remembers their first kiss. They were working in theatre in Vermont, and she said he led her into a field for their kiss.
Macy told The Talk that he doesn’t watch her on-screen love scenes. But what does she think about his racy behavior on Shameless? “I just sort of try to pretend that he’s someone else…. It’s so outrageous and so disgusting,” she laughed.
The Talk: Madonna’s Panties
Huffman also took over Madonna’s role in David Mamet’s Speed-The-Plow, and inherited the star’s three dressing rooms complete with a pair of panties the singer had left behind. She called them tasteful, but small. She admitted that she kept them, which could be a worthwhile investment someday.
The Talk: Felicity Huffman What The Flicka
Felicity Huffman starred for eight years on the soap Desperate Housewives. During the height of the show’s popularity, she found her character’s tank top in a store, only to learn from the sales clerk that her co-stars’ apparel had already sold out.
Huffman is now behind a website, What The Flicka. She explained that she was one of eight children, and had happy memories of time with her sisters in close quarters growing up.
As a mom herself, Huffman said she felt lonely and wanted a resource and safe space for women to vent their challenges and frustrations. She hopes that What The Flicka helps provide a place to hang out and discuss hot topics.
