The Revolution TV: Calories In Pizza

Harley Pasternak said an average small pizza has more than 1,000 calories. The classic regular crust Pepperoni can pack on over 2,600 calories. Since Jenny and Ryan’s favorite food is pizza, he showed Jenny how to make a healthier pizza swap, and now he’s sharing that recipe with everyone.

Tortillas get crunchy quickly, giving you the crust texture. Tomato Sauce has Vitamin C and Lycopenes, which are good for your health. Adding vegetables to pizza is a good way to get yourself to eat them.

Harley recommends keeping fresh herbs in your kitchen, or even starting your own small herb garden. If you can’t find Low Fat Mozzarella in your grocery store, Harley said you can substitute a smaller amount of regular Mozzarella Cheese instead.

If you don’t think tortillas are thick enough or can’t find some that you like, you could also try making smaller versions of this recipe using Whole Wheat English Muffins.
