One cause of Periodontal Disease is decreased saliva production, which could be due to hormonal changes or side effects of over the counter medications.

Brushing and flossing your teeth often is recommended. You can also rinse with mouthwash or even water. Dr. Jennifer recommends seeing a dentist twice a year, and brushing with an electric toothbrush.
