The Doctors: Sand Moisturizer
Spending some time near the ocean, reading a favorite book on the beach, can be a relaxing getaway. But Dr. Jim Sears said no one likes getting sand stuck to them after a day at the beach.
However, there are some positive uses for sand, and he showed off a great way you can use sand to treat Dry Elbows or Dry Knees. These are areas that can easily become dry and irritated, especially in extreme weather conditions. As dead skin builds up there over time, they can also be difficult to moisturize.
The Doctors TV: Dry Elbows Remedy
There is something you can do that will help you get relief from Dry Elbows and Dry Knees. The best part is it’s easy to make, and it relies on natural ingredients to give you smoother, healthier skin. You can actually make your own Sand Moisturizer using Almond Oil, Vitamin E Oil, and Rosemary Oil. The oils moisturize while the sand will exfoliate dead skin. It has antiseptic properties as well, to kill germs associated with dead skin.
It’s great for elbows and knees, but not recommended for your face because it’s too abrasive. Learn how you can make this exfoliating recipe at home using ingredients you may already have around the house.
