The Doctors TV Show did a segment called “Why Do I Itch & Smell That Way?,” but they started off the show by bringing back Dr Mike Moreno, founder of the 17 Day Diet which is a new diet plan that is based on a time frame that everyone can work with to lose weight by stabilizing your body and cleansing yourself.  There is a huge variety of food that you can eat on the diet, so you are never bored. Dr Mike Moreno said on The Drs TV Show that he spent 12 years perfecting the 17 Day Diet, because he wanted to address the obesity crisis in America.  Many people try diets, but they are too boring.  With the 17 Day Diet, you see rapid weight loss because you shock your body into changing its metabolism and there is science to support the diet.  The 17 Day Diet is more of a new lifestyle, because it is something that you can and should do for the rest of your life to maintain the results.

The Doctors TV Show: Extreme Eating Awards

The Doctors showed some coverage of the Extreme Eating Awards that featured the most unhealthy foods in terms of calories, saturated fat and salt content.  In one main dish of Pasta Carbonara from the Cheesecake Factory there was 2500 calories, which is more than the average person should have in an entire day.  The Tostada Pizza from California Pizza Kitchen has 3300 mg of sodium, and PF Changs had a dish that made the list too.

The Doctors said that you are at an increased risk for a heart attack after having a fatty or high cholesterol meal, because your blood gets thicker – hence the term Steak House Heart Attack.

The Doctors spoke about a healthy cookie recipe that has 120 calories and is full of starch and fiber to aid digestion.  Click here for the full recipe: 17 Day Diet Cookie Recipe.  Mike Moreno also said that you should drink two 8 ounce glasses of water before each meal to help fill yourself up and to avoid dehydration which can cause a whole slew of medical problems including headaches, fatigue, nausea, GI symptoms and skin problems.  The Doctors said that nobody really promotes water as a diet tool because it is free, but people who are well hydrated lose more weight.  If you don’t like the taste of water, squeeze in some lime or lemon.  Mike Moreno suggests starting your day every morning with an 8 ounce glass of water with a 1/2 lemon squeezed into it.
