- 1 C water
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice, or to taste
- 1 packed cup torn kale
- 1/2 to 1 ripe banana, in pieces
- handful of ice cubes
- optional: 1 scoop nut butter

- In a blender, blend together water, lemon juice and kale, starting at a low speed, finishing on a high speed, until smooth.
- Add banana and ice and blend again, starting on low speed and finishing on high speed, until smooth.
- Add more water to thin out if needed.

For The Doctors News in 2:00, The Doctors discussed the deadly Ebola virus as a case is dealt with in Dallas, Texas. A doctor from the Center for Infectious Disease at the University of Minnesota said that a respiratory transmittable virus, a.k.a. airborne virus, would be devastating to the world.
Right now the virus is only spread through contact with bodily fluids. The Minnesota doctor and other experts say that the chances are relatively small that the virus will become airborne, but warns that as the virus spreads, the likelihood increases.
As of Oct. 6, 7,100 cases have been reported with over 3,000 deaths.

Dr. Farid Fata plead guilty to multiple charges of health care fraud. Based on an FBI investigation, he was accused of administering unnecessary cancer treatments to patients who were either in remission or terminal. He ran oncology centers in Michigan.
The Doctors: Amal Alamuddin Quit Smoking For George Clooney
George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin recently wed in a very high profile event. The pair met through mutual friends a little over a year ago and according to People Magazine, Amal immediately stopped smoking, cold turkey, when she met Clooney. According to the surgeon general, her risk of coronary and heart disease is now cut in half after one smoke-free year. When they toast their ten-year wedding anniversary, they can also celebrate Amal’s diminished risk of dying from lung cancer, which would be half of what it is for someone still smoking.

Before the end of the show, Dr. Stork explained how a little jelly bean can help you lose weight. Dr. Stork said it’s all about the power of visualization. He said it’s a method that many Olympians use to keep track of their goals.
