The Doctors: Spring Allergy Symptoms
Spring has officially sprung, and you know what that means; not just warmer weather, less layers and more time in the sun, but also sneezing, itchy eyes and runny noses. Because an estimated 35 million Americans suffer from spring allergies, Dr. Andrew Ordon welcomed allergy specialist Dr. Robert Eitches to explain how symptoms can be relieved with antihistamines like Claritin.
Allergy symptoms such as sneezing, ichy, watery eyes and runny noses are caused by allergens, or triggers, that enter the body. They can be seasonal like pollen, or year-round like dust mites, molds and pet dander. When a trigger enters the body, the immune system produces antibodies. They bind together and attach to the lining of the nose and sinuses. Histamine is then released, causing blood vessels to swell and creating excess fluid.
The Drs: Claritin For Allergy Relief
That’s why an antihistamine like Claritin provides allergy relief; it blocks the histamine from attaching to blood vessels. If you’re experiencing allergy symptoms, you can visit your doctor for an allergy skin test. Once the trigger has been identified, you can either avoid it completely or take precautions against it. Washing hands, your face and showering often helps keep outside triggers away from you and your home.
The Doctors: Melasma Treatment Results
Later, it was finally time to revisit Dr. Glynis Ablon’s melasma treatment patients. A laser treatment and a skin mask were used to correct these patients’ hyperpigmentation, relatively easily and painlessly. See the big reveal and incredible before and after pictures in the video below.
