It’s important to make good food choices, but on popular health food store may have taken things too far! A customer shared a picture of peeled oranges being sold in plastic containers, with the caption “If only nature would find a way to cover these oranges so we didn’t need to waste so much plastic on them.”

The oranges were for sale at Whole Foods for $6 a pound which is pretty expensive, but Whole Foods responded via Twitter saying “Definitely our mistake. These have been pulled. We hear you, and we will leave them in their natural packaging: the peel.”

For The Doctors News in 2:00, it was reported that a wide-ranging study on obesity says that one in five adults could be morbidly obese by 2025. According to the study, the ratio of obese adults has more than doubled since 1975 and will probably get worse. Researchers predict that the obesity epidemic will result in staggering financial costs for the health care system. Obesity can put people at increased risk for stroke, diabetes, heart disease, and even some cancers. Authors of the study warned that unless the obesity epidemic is stopped, existing drugs for high cholesterol, blood pressure, and blood sugar will “not be able to fully address the hazards of [obesity].”
