Valerie Harper is an actress known for her beloved role as Rhoda Morgenstern, Mary Tyler Moore’s sassy best friend, on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and its popular spin-off, Rhoda. The Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning actress has been a television staple for the better part of four decades. Now, at 73, Valerie is making headlines for a very different reason. Fans were devastated when Valerie announced her diagnosis of terminal brain cancer. Doctors say that Valerie could have as little as three months left to live. On The Doctors March 11, Valerie will bravely discuss her diagnosis, accompanied by friends, family and medical experts. Her husband, Tony Cacciotti, and Mary Tyler Moore Show co-stars Cloris Leachman and Ed Asner will appear by her side as a show of support.
