The Drs: Surgery To Fix Botched Plastic Surgery
The Doctors shared the story of Patricia, whose plastic surgery left her scarred both physically and emotionally. She got married when she was 17 years old and it developed into an abusive relationship. She learned to comfort herself with food, and right before she left her husband she had reached more than 300 pounds and she is only 5’3″. She knew if she wanted to start a new life and start over, she had to lose the weight.
She ended up losing 140 pounds in 12-14 months, but did not anticipate all the extra skin she would be left with. She consulted a plastic surgeon and underwent surgery to remove the skin. She first noticed that after the surgery her navel was off to the right and the incision line was incredibly jagged. She said her arms were hardly smaller than they were before, and what skin was taken off was replaced with bulky scars. She has scars that run from her elbows to her waist, and she went from a C cup to an A cup.
The Drs: Fixing Plastic Surgery Gone Wrong
Dr Drew Ordon shared that he would fix Patricia and make things as good as possible. She underwent surgery just a few days later, hoping that it would heal the wounds. Dr Ritu Chopra helped Dr Ordon with the procedure because of how much of the body had to be repaired. His focus was on the abdomen. Dr Ordon wanted to give Patricia some volume in her chest with implants. He also wanted to address her arms. The doctors certainly had their work cut out for them.
The final phase of the surgery was to perform liposuction on her upper arms. Dr Ordon shared that they used 54 feet of suture on Patricia, and they weren’t done yet.
The Drs: Results Of Corrective Plastic Surgery
Finally, after recovering at the Palm Spring, Patricia was ready to show off her new body. Patricia said she felt amazing and couldn’t thank them enough for what they did for her. She said she now has a different outlook on life and feels like she’s finally normal. The Doctors revealed the before and after of Patricia’s surgery, showing that her bellybutton was now centered and her breasts were back to their normal size. They also improved the appearance of Patricia’s scars, and said in a few weeks they can begin using a laser on the scars to improve the appearance even further.
