“I currently have all F’s in all of my classes. I am not aloud to have a boyfriend no time soon.So back off before I get another good woopin like I got last night. Also I can no longer have any friends until all of my F’s are all brought up to C’s an up. So unless you are helping me with this goal… back off! My eating french fries and being a social butterfly is over because I know why my parents send me to school. I now know the importance of my education. I will learn. I will listen to my teachers and be respectful, at all times. I will do these things because I am failing due to my social life. Want to be my friend, help me by not.”

The Doctors then shared that it was known that the child was beaten with a belt on the neck, arms, chest, and, back. The school gave the child another shirt to wear while at school, and the bruises were declared excessive. The parents posted $2,500 bail, and the entire case itself is just sad.

The Drs: Better Parenting Tips

The Doctors said they don’t know all the circumstances, but this is very bad parenting. Dr Jennifer Ashton said it’s another example of right message, very wrong execution. You should never beat a child to accomplish your goals. A Tulane University study found that 3-year-olds who were spanked became 5-year-olds who showed aggressive behavior. It’s been proven that physical punishment for your children is a bad thing in the long run.

Dr Travis Stork said it struck him as probably a pattern of poor parenting. She was probably continuing the way she was raised, but it’s important to stop that unhealthy cycle. Physically harming your child or shaming them doesn’t work. Parenting is part teaching and part loving. Dr Ashton said parenting is the hardest job on the planet, but it doesn’t come with an owner’s manual. You have to be open to finding the best way to parent you child and always do so with love.

It never hurts to study a bit when you become a parent in order to avoid situations like this one. What do you think about this parenting technique?
