The Drs: Skinny Mirrors?
If you’ve ever purchased something in a store after loving the way you looked when you tried it on, only to take it home and feel like you made a mistake the next time you put it on, this segment of The Doctors is for you. Some retail stores are known to use “skinny mirrors” in their dressing rooms, so you’ll look and feel better in their clothes, and are more likely to buy them.
Dr Jennifer Berman said it happened to her, but she had no idea at the time. She called it false marketing, saying she feels like we’re getting tricked. Dr Jennifer Ashton said in the Jewish religion, when someone is grieving, it’s traditional to cover mirrors because you don’t want to see your grief. Now, people are avoiding mirrors for different reasons.
Dr Rachael Ross and Dr Ashton said they will buy clothes without trying them on, but Dr Berman said she can’t.
The Drs: Khloe Kardashian Windex Trick?
Dr Travis Stork then moved on to say that some people are using window cleaner as their “weight loss secret.” Because restaurant portions these days are practically always too big, it’s tempting to keep eating even after you’ve had enough. Supposedly Khloe Kardashian will take a couple bites of her dinner and then spray the rest with window cleaner to make sure she doesn’t finish the food.
The Drs: Extreme Ways To Avoid Overeating
Dr Ashton said Khloe Kardashian is beautiful, but to deliberately destroy food when so many people in our country are starving is a waste. She said she needs to think of another way to control what she’s eating. Dr Ordon said to order half the portion or order a dish to share with someone.
Dr Stork said not only is it a waste, but you’re creating a negative relationship with food. Dr Rachael Ross said she loves food and she doesn’t want to destroy it. Dr Ordon said the problem is the super-sized portions. Just use a different technique, rather than wasting food. You should view food positively.
