The Doctors: Lip Masks For Softer, Fuller Lips
The Doctors were excited to share some of the hottest Instagram beauty trends and wanted to put a few of them to the test. Dr Rachael Ross introduced Jeannine Morris, a beauty expert, who explained that she had a woman try out the lip mask which is “a safe and affordable way to get a plumper lip.” One woman was laying there for twenty minutes with the lip mask on that contains different moisturizing products, great to help make her lips fuller for a few hours. Jennifer said her lips felt much smoother, but I had a hard time telling a true difference in her before and after. If nothing else, it seemed to make a good moisturizer!
The Doctors: Strobing Vs Contouring
Next, Dr Rachael and Jeannine looked at a technique called strobing. Jeannine explained that strobing is the new contouring. Instead of contouring with bronzers and shadows, you use a highlighter and play with light. You simply strobe the top of your brown bone, the top of your cheeks, the top of your nose, your cupids bow, and then your forehead. It highlights areas that are closest to the sun and serves as a more natural way to contour your face.
The Doctors: Miranda Kerr + Alkaline Diet
The Doctors then wanted to see if you could identify a celebrity just by looking at one part of them. They showed a picture of long, thin, pale legs and asked if anyone could guess who they belonged to. They were Miranda Kerr‘s! Miranda was recently interviewed for “Your Fitness” magazine and shared that she tries to do yoga every day as well as pilates and strength training. As for her diet, she tries to follow an alkaline-based diet and will drink multiple liters of alkaline water.
The alkaline diet itself is very controversial and is based on eating alkaline foods and drinking alkaline-based water. The good news is that alkaline foods tend to be pretty healthy for you and Miranda is clearly eating healthy.
Have you ever heard of the alkaline diet?
