Dr. Karent Sierra: Sensitive Teeth

One Doctors viewer had a question about his sensitive teeth. He’s tried to use whitening strips in the past, but he finds them to be too painful. Dr. Sierra advised that before he try another method, he visit his dentist. Sensitive teeth aren’t a major health concern, but you should be sure that there isn’t any other problem that’s causing the sensitivity. Your dentist can create fluoride trays that will help with this issue.

Even Dr. Travis Stork has issues with teeth sensitivity. Dr. Sierra investigated his mouth and found that his gums have areas of recession. Her advice? Use a soft bristle toothbrush, brush more gently and everything should be fine.
