The Doctors: Man Dies After Getting Wisdom Teeth Removed
Most people hate going to the dentist because they haven’t gone in such a long time, but when your wisdom teeth start growing in, it is almost inevitable you have to go get them removed at the dentist’s office. While the procedure seems pretty safe, there are dangers involved. Mark Lipinski was a tech genius. He was a software whiz with a promising life that got cut short after he died from oral surgery complications. The dentists performing the procedure said during the procedure Lipinski woke up coughing so they gave him Propofol. Three days later, he was pronounced dead.
The Doctors called on Dr. Bill Dorfman, a dentist, to talk about how this could have happened. The first thing he explained was how sedation works. He said when you are injected into the vein, the drug is meant to sedate you so you feel no pain and have no memory of the event. The drugs are also meant to suppress your rate of breathing as well as lower your heart rate. If no one if monitoring the patient while they are being sedated, it could end in death because breathing could stop or the heart rate could get too low.
Dr. Dorfman said no one needs to be heavily sedated to get their wisdom teeth out and if they need to be, then the dentist should get an anesthesiologist to help him. He also pointed out the fact that everyone is different. Some people freak out when you bring a needle into the room while others wont flinch when you pull a tooth out. The one question everyone needs to ask when they go to the dentist is whether they need to be put asleep. If you have to be asleep, make sure the dentist knows any medical conditions you have because even something like obesity can change how you are sedated.
Do Breasts Sag More Without a Bra?
Charisma hates wearing bras and she wanted to know if she stopped wearing bras whether or not her breasts would sag more. The Doctors told her a recent study out of France has suggested wearing a bra might actually make the breasts sag more. The doctor who completed the study found women who didn’t wear bras to have higher, firmer breasts with less stretch marks.
While that might sound heavenly to every woman in the world, Dr. Andrew Ordon said it is simply not true. He pointed out that the doctor who did the study was a sports medicine specialist, so he shouldn’t have been dealing with this matter, all the women were young, aged 18 to 35 and many of the women had smaller breast sizes meaning they had less sag in the first place.
Dr. Ordon continued by saying a bra is necessary to stop sagging because it offers the breasts support to the ligaments that keep them firm.
