The Doctors: Hundreds Of Ants Living In Girl’s Ear
A 12-year-old girl was dealing with a constant nagging itch in her ear for months and months. Since August of 2015, doctors have been removing hundreds of giant ants dead and alive from the girl’s ears. They tried to stop the infestation by filling her ears with antiseptics but it’s repeatedly failed. They can’t find the queen ant that seems to be procreating inside the girl’s ear and the family has even gone to witch doctors to try to cure the problem. About twelve ants emerge from the girl’s daily.
Dr Andrew Ordon explained that if you have an intact ear drum, you could drown the ants with alcohol or something similar. There must be an opening in the girl’s ear drum which led to an ant nest inside her middle ear. The most disturbing part is that the ants could definitely continue to travel inward until they get to the girl’s brain. The girl is from India, but if Dr Andrew Ordon had access to a patient in that position, he would recommend surgery.
The Doctors: Severe Case Of Tree Man Disease
Next, The Doctors shared a story from Bangladesh where a 25-year-old man is finally getting much-needed help for a horrifying medical condition he’s been living with for seven years. The condition is commonly referred to as “tree man disease” and is characterized by abnormal susceptibility to human papillomavirus (HPV) of the skin. The man gets wart-like growths all over his body to the point that the man can’t do anything because of overgrowths on his hands. Only three people in the world are known to have the condition and Dr Travis Stork had never even heard of it until he saw the case.
Dr Stork reported that, to the best of his knowledge, the government of Bangladesh is going to pay for the man’s surgery. He will have eleven pounds of warts removed.
The Doctors: Medical Problem Caused Car To Land On Roof
The Doctors shared footage of a car that landed on top of a house after a medical problem caused the driver to lose control, hit two parked cars and then launched onto the roof of the house. Incredibly, the driver and the homeowner inside weren’t injured. Dr Stork said he guarantees that man had the petal to the metal! Metal was the word of the day and you can use the word metal on The Doctors’ website to enter for a chance to win a pair of Therafit shoes.
