The Doctors: “Ebay For Breakups”
The Doctors kicked off the show by talking about a website called Never Liked It Anyways that is called the Ebay for breakups. The website allows you to sell everything that your ex gave you during your relationship. The website can surely help those get something out of a tough breakup. Would you sell something that your ex gave you or do you think you should give valuable items back?
The Doctors: Take A Break Tool On Facebook
The Doctors also talked about the fact that Facebook is helping people with a program called Take a Break. If you change your relationship status to single, you’re offered the opportunity to test out the Take a Break tool which is Facebook’s attempt to help people deal with breakups by separating yourself from your ex online. Social media certainly makes it easy to “stalk” your ex or your ex’s new partner. Getting over a relationship can be made much harder with the presence of social media. The tool is still being tested.
The Doctors: Read The Fine Print
The Doctors then moved on to talk about the fact that so many people are guilty of signing something without reading the fine print, especially online. Recently, comedian Jenna Kingsley put this idea to the test in a hilarious video. She put up a booth saying that she was giving away a free iPad, and then had people sign the Terms and Conditions. Once they did, she told them they then had to give the shirt off their back. After getting some pretty strange looks, she pulled up the Terms and Conditions they signed, which stated they would be required to give the shirt off their back to people in need. She then did the same thing, telling people they ageed to adopt a dog or even donate a kidney or adopt a child!
It’s a hilarious reminder to always read the fine print before signing anything!
