The Doctors: 90 Percent Of Women Get Morning Sickness
Pregnancy is supposed to be a happy time for a woman but with the morning sickness many women experience, The Doctors said sometimes the constant nausea, vomiting and feeling lightheaded can get in the way of happiness.
Lisa wrote in to The Doctors saying she is three months pregnant but she has been throwing up every single day for a few weeks now. She wants the morning sickness to go away but she is nervous to take the medication to prevent it.
Is there an all-natural way to deal with morning sickness?
Morning Sickness Symptoms
Dr. Lisa Masterson said around 90 percent of women suffer from morning sickness. Some of the symptoms include:
- Racing heart
- Frequent urination
- Tender breasts
- Food aversions
- Slight bleeding
- Mood swings
She went on to say morning sickness can get so severe that the woman becomes dehydrated and she has trouble keeping any sort of food down. If you are only feeling nausea, Dr. Masterson suggested staying hydrated to make the symptoms less severe.
Tips To Beat Morning Sickness – Sports Drink Ice Cubes
If you are having trouble keeping food down, she has also had two suggestions for feeling less nausea:
- Freeze a sports drink in an ice cube tray and suck on the cubes throughout the day.
- Cutting a lemon in half and sniffing the lemon will curb your nausea.
Finally, there are medications you can take as well, but Dr. Masterson said those are only for people with severe morning sickness problems.
Hypnotherapy Helps With Morning Sickness
One way some women are combating morning sickness is with hypnotherapy. The Doctors sent Lisa to Sasha Carrion, a hypnotherapist, who worked with Lisa to stop her morning sickness.
