The Doctors shared an X-ray that revealed a dime inside a patient’s lung. Dr Raj Dasgupta joined the show, because the X-ray was actually from one of his patients, a 53-year-old man. The man had an history of asthma and was having an attack. He took a few puffs from his inhaler and his symptoms got a little better. But he started having a bad cough. Three weeks later he still had the cough but was also started to cough up some blood. Further examination revealed that the man actually inhaled a dime that had found its way inside the inhaler. Yet another reason to keep the cap on your inhaler!

In The Doctors’ News in 2:00, it was reported that the Detroit Free Press is now reporting a marked increase in cases of Legionnaires’ disease that could also be linked to the contaminate Flint river. Environmental experts believe the “lack of corrosion control, plus big buildings, is creating these problems.” Flint did hook back up to the Detroit water system.

David Beckham is a UNICEF Goodwill ambassador and has worked to protect and improve the health and welfare of children across the world. David has been given the Danny Kaye Humanitarian Leadership Award. Heidi Klum and Selena Gomez also joined Beckham at the black tie gala for UNICEF, that raised more than $2.5 million. It was clear in Beckham’s speech that his work with the organization was far from over.

Those who speak multiple languages are most likely to regain cognitive function after having a stroke. Research found that up to 40.5% of patients who spoke more than one language regained full cognitive function, while only 19.6% of patients who spoke a single language saw the same result.
