The Drs: Elderly Woman Hospitalized After Road Rage Incident
The Doctors shared the story of a disturbing parking lot brawl over a handicapped spot. One woman was arrested while the other was sent to the hospital. A 71-year-old woman was knocked to the ground by the angry woman after taking a handicapped parking space. The elderly woman incurred femur fractures and is still in the hospital recovering.
The woman that attacked her didn’t even have a handicapped sticker or marker. Dr Rachael Ross said the best thing to do if you’re involved in an incident of road rage is either drive away or wait in your car until the person leaves, because you never know what they will do.
The Drs: Attack Over Handicapped Spot
It’s never worth it to engage in road rage with someone that is that angry. They received a statement about the woman that was arrested from her lawyer that said:
“Ms. Perkins is heartbroken by this incident. She deeply regrets what happened and in no way ever intended for [the victim’s] injuries. In the present case, we maintain that Ms. Perkins had no intent to injure [the victim], and could not have foreseen the injuries that she incurred.”
The Drs: Cell Phone Exploded In Man’s Pocket
The Doctors then moved on to talk about the man whose cellphone spontaneously combusted while it was in his pocket. A New York man received third degree burns after he bent over to pick up his keys and felt a pop. He had to rip off his pants to get the phone off his leg and was treated for the burns.
Dr Rachael Ross said most of the stories we’ve heard about were when the phone was plugged in. Dr Drew Ordon said he’s never putting his phone in his front pocket again. Dr Travis Stork said this is one case among millions and the phone manufacturer is looking into what happened.
