The Drs: States’ Most Popular Searches
The Doctors shared that a new study by Fixr tracked America’s search obsessions by state. The website tracked Google autocomplete predictions for goods and services. Liquor licenses and weed are popular in the Northeast, while the Northwest commonly researches water and liposuction.
Dr Rachael Ross shared that her home state of Indiana is obsessed with breast implants. Dr Drew Ordon said the “boob states” are Texas, Florida, and California. Dr Travis Stork was born in Colorado and he joked that their new slogan is “we’re higher than you” because their obsession right now is marijuana. A very common search in New York was “how to find a pound of weed.” In Mississippi and Tennessee, DNA testing is a popular search. In Arizona and South Dakota, vasectomy is a top search. Dr Stork loved that Montana’s top search was “fishing license.”
The Drs: Linen Tracker + GPS For Hotel Towels?
The Doctors then wondered if you’ve ever been in a hotel and taken something from the room because you really liked it. The truth is, now there’s a reason you may not want to take a towel home with you next time you stay overnight in a hotel. There’s now a device called the Linen Tracker that acts like a GPS for hotel towels and linens, and hotels across the country are fighting back against theft by using this technology.
Dr Rachael Ross shared that she recently went to a resort and they had beautiful towels, so she took one. Dr Travis Stork sad he’ll take the lotion and things like that, but not a bathrobe like Dr Andrew Ordon. Dr Stork joked that all the lotions, soaps, and shampoos in his house were from hotels.
Will you think twice now before taking something from a hotel?
