The Doctors: Are You Taking Your Medications The Right Way?
The next time you’re feeling a little ill, you want to be sure you’re taking your medication the right way. First, next time you use eye drops, apply them, then keep your eyes closed for a short period of time before blinking a few times, rather than wasting the drops you use by immediately blinking them out. Also, try holding your finger over your tear duct before applying the drops, to be sure that it stays in your eye instead of going down to your throat.
If you use an inhaler, you have to take a deep breath in and count to five and hold it in for a little bit to let the medication do it’s job. If you immediately breathe it right back out, you may not actually see a benefit. Lastly, if you use nasal spray, you’re actually supposed to just place the tip of the bottle in your nose and squeeze, rather than inhaling deeply, sending it right to your throat.
Were you guilty of making these medicine mistakes? I certainly was, but now we know better!
The Doctors: Shaving VS Hot Wax
Next, The Doctors wanted to find out which was truly worse for the skin near your private parts, shaving or waxing? Dermatologist Dr Sandra Lee explained that both techniques have issues, but shaving can actually spread more infections. However, hot wax is actually worse for your skin. When you shave, you’re cutting the hair off bluntly, whereas with wax, you’re pulling the hair out at the root, causing ingrown hairs when the hair grows back. Always try to shave in the same direction as growth.
The main idea, after all, is to achieve soft skin! Soft was the word of the day and you can use the word soft on The Doctors’ website to enter for a chance to win a custom high-end face cream from Bionova, worth about $250!
