The Doctors: Brandi Glanville Unfiltered Blonde Wine
Brandi Glanville has taken on a new project, this time in the form of wine. She is now selling chardonnay called Unfiltered Blonde. She joked that after she got divorced she didn’t think she’d be able to find love again, but then she found chardonnay. She then turned to Dr Travis Stork and asked him if he was single, before inviting him to come to her tasting room at some point to see how her wine is made.
Brandi then shared a few of her wine hacks, beginning with a 9 oz pour instead of a 6 oz pour, explaining that you don’t have to go back so soon, wanting more.
Another hack she shared was to make ice cubes out of chardonnay, as a way to chill her wine without watering it down. Because chardonnay won’t always freeze, she mixes it with a clear soda before pouring it into an ice cube tray.
Then, Brandi handed out cupcakes, sharing how you can cook with wine for even tastier treats, especially when you use chardonnay and lemon. At that point, the flirting was taken to another level as Brandi grabbed Dr Stork’s biceps, so Dr Andrew Ordon jokingly walked off set to leave them alone!
Do you have any useful wine hacks to share?
The Doctors: MIT Student Awake During His Own Brain Surgery
Steven is an MIT student to explained to The Doctors that he volunteered for a research brain study nine years ago. During the study, a small abnormality was found. About two years ago, he began smelling what he thought was vinegar, when there was no vinegar around. When he looked back at his brain scans from the study, he noticed that the abnormality was near the area of his brain responsible for his sense of smell. He went back for another scan and wasn’t able to leave the hospital because they discovered a tumor that filled up 10% of his brain. He needed immediate surgery.
Because the tumor was located near Steven’s language center, he was kept awake throughout the surgery. The surgery lasted for ten hours! Steven then shared with The Doctors that he just finished a year of chemotherapy and his most recent scans looked entirely clean. Steven shared that he only remembers about 20-30 minutes of the procedure, but said it was “surreal” to be awake during the surgery. He showed that 10% of his brain was actually removed.
Steven also explained that he had to become a medical student, take a class in pathology that was linked to the hospital, and then for his final project he studied his own tumor. How neat is that?
