Undoubtedly, the star of the punch was the pomegranate ice ring, made by freezing pomegranate seeds in juice and water in a ring mold to make a ring. It’s a fun, tasty, and beautiful way to keep the punch cold, without watering it down with plain ice.

  • 1/2 C pomegranate juice
  • 4 C pomegranate seeds
  • 2 1/2 C water

Pomegranate Lime Punch:

  • 1 C vodka
  • 1/3 C lime juice
  • 3 C pomegranate juice
  • 3/4 C orange-flavored
  • 1 bottle champagne

The Chew: Pomegranate Holiday Punch Recipe Directions

For the Ice Mold:

  1. In a 9-1/4-inch ring mold, add the pomegranate seeds, water, and pomegranate juice
  2. Put into the freezer and freezer for 3-4 hours or overnight
  3. When ready to serve, run the mold under a little hot water to remove from the pan and put into a punch bowl

For the Punch:

  1. In a large punch bowl, add the pomegranate juice, orange-flavored liqueur, vodka, and lime juice, then mix
  2. Add the ring mold and top with champagne right before serving
