The Chew: Frozen Smoothie Packs & Oatmeal Energy Clusters Recipe

Do you want to prepare breakfast so it’s ready to grab and go? Clinton Kelly had some great ideas, like Frozen Smoothie Packs and Oatmeal Energy Clusters.

Prepare a batch of these in advance and just keep them in the freezer so they’re ready any morning.

Blueberry-Banana Ingredients

  • 1/2 peeled Banana
  • 2 cups fresh Spinach
  • 1 cup Blueberries
  • 1/2 cup Greek Yogurt

Mango Pineapple Ingredients

  • 1 cup Pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup Greek Yogurt
  • 1 cup Mango chunks

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Skim Milk (or use Orange Juice or Coconut Water)

Directions

  1. Combine your chosen ingredients in a plastic Ziploc bag and place in the freezer.
  2. When it’s time to make the smoothie, pour the bag into the blender.
  3. Add your chosen liquid (skim milk, orange juice, or coconut water), puree and serve.

Clinton Kelly: The Chew Oatmeal Energy Clusters Recipe

Oatmeal is a breakfast classic, and now you can make Clinton’s Energy Clusters Recipe that you can eat in the car. Just don’t try to make them with instant oats.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Rolled Oats
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened Coconut Flakes
  • 1/3 cup Honey
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 cup natural Peanut Butter (no sugar)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Directions

  1. Mix oats with coconut and chocolate chips.
  2. Stir in remaining ingredients and combine well.
  3. Let dough chill for one hour in the fridge.
  4. Roll into bite-size balls and store in the fridge in an airtight container.

The Chew: Clinton Kelly Egg McMuffins Recipe

Refrigerate or freeze these muffins. Then just pop them in the microwave for a minute. Eat them alone or on an English muffin.

Ingredients

  • 4 chopped Scallions
  • 1/4 cup chopped Ham
  • 6 Eggs
  • 1 diced Red Bell Pepper
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt & Pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven on 350 F.
  2. Combine ingredients and stir well.
  3. Pour the batter into a prepared muffin tin.
  4. Bake around 11 minutes to set.
  5. Serve or refrigerate for later use.
