Carla Hall from The Chew teamed up with Victor Cruz from the New York Giants, on behalf of Fuel Up 360 To Play. They shared kid-friendly breakfast recipes, like Peaches & Cream Waffle Dunkers, Blueberry Delight, and a Cheesy Breakfast Muffin.

Fuel Up 360 To Play is a partnership between the NFL and American dairy farmers, giving kids healthy options to start the day, and encouraging one hour of energetic exercise or play daily.

The Chew: Blueberry Delight Recipe + Peaches & Cream Waffle Dunkers

Victor Cruz and Fuel Up 360 To Play kids showed The Chew crew how to make some healthy breakfasts like a Blueberry Delight Recipe and waffle dunkers.

Ingredients

  • 1 quart low fat Vanilla Yogurt
  • 8 oz soft fat free Cream Cheese
  • 16 Whole Grain Waffle Sticks
  • 1 quart canned, drained diced Peaches (+1/3 cup)
  • 3 tbsp Cinnamon Sugar
  • Cooking Spray

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven on 350 F.
  2. Mix equal parts cinnamon and sugar, if using.
  3. Blend yogurt with two cups of peaches and the cream cheese.
  4. Coat waffle sticks in cooking spray and arrange them on a baking sheet.
  5. Dust waffles with cinnamon sugar.
  6. Toast about seven minutes, until heated through.
  7. Serve 1/2 cup peach yogurt topped with 1/4 cup diced peaches and two waffle sticks.

The Chew: Blueberry Delight Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 quart fat free Vanilla Greek Yogurt
  • 1 Egg
  • 4 cups Blueberries
  • 2 1/2 cups Quick Oats
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch
  • Flour
  • Cooking Spray

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven on 350 F.
  2. Coat a 9×9 pan with cooking spray.
  3. Combine oats with 3/4 cup yogurt and 1/2 cup sugar.
  4. Press this into the bottom of the pan in an even layer.
  5. Spray cooking spray over the oats.
  6. Bake 10 minutes to brown; remove and cool.
  7. Whisk egg with cornstarch.
  8. Add one quart of yogurt with 1/2 cup sugar and stir.
  9. Fold in 1 3/4 cup blueberries into the batter and pour it onto the crust.
  10. (You might need to add flour if using frozen blueberries.)
  11. Bake about one hour, using the toothpick test to determine doneness.
  12. Cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  13. Chill for two hours before cutting into pieces.
  14. Serve garnished with blueberries.

The Chew: Cheesy Breakfast Muffin Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 1/2 cup reduced fat shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 7 cups cubed Whole Grain Bread
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 3 cups thawed, chopped Frozen Broccoli
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • Cooking Spray

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven on 375 F.
  2. Combine cheeses with bread, water, and broccoli.
  3. Add in garlic powder with onion powder, stirring well.
  4. Let stand for 10 minutes to allow bread to soak.
  5. Portion bread mixture in 1/2 cup servings into a prepared muffin tin.
  6. Bake until golden and delicious, about 16-17 minutes.
