Her Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus are good enough to eat on their own. But Daphne took it a step further by whipping up a Herbed Goat Cheese Dip to serve with them for dipping! The Chew: Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus With Herbed Goat Cheese Dip

Daphne Oz’s Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus with Herbed Goat Cheese Dip may just be your new favorite appetizer! (galant / Flickr)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 20 asparagus spears – ends trimmed
  • 1/2 tsp smoked sweet paprika
  • 10 strips bacon – halved lengthwise

For the Goat Cheese Dip:

  • 1/2 C chives – sliced thin
  • 1 clove garlic – minced
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 10 oz goat cheese – at room temperature
  • 1/4 C parsley – finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 lemon – zested

The Chew: Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus With Herbed Goat Cheese Dip Recipe Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  3. Drizzle the asparagus with olive oil then a dash of paprika and pepper
  4. Wrap each asparagus spear in bacon
  5. Put on the baking sheet and bake for 7 minutes per side until the bacon is crispy and the asparagus is tender
  6. Broil for the last minute of cooking to make the bacon crispy

For the Goat Cheese Dip:

  1. Whip the goat cheese in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment or in a food processor
  2. Remove to a large bowl and add the parsley, chives, milk, garlic, olive oil, and lemon zest
  3. Season with pepper and serve
