The Chew: St. Patrick’s Day
It’s St. Patrick’s Day, which is the only holiday known to the United States that is almost completely associated with drinking. College campuses, house parties. and bars across the nation will be packed with people celebrating a good time. If you’re planning to be out there celebrating, you might want to tune into The Chew, when they make some great St. Patrick’s Day cocktails and share a delicious recipe for Irish soda bread.
The Chew: Mekhi Phifer Insurgent
Mekhi Phifer has had a great career, appearing in a variety of different media across genre. Even if you don’t know his name (or think it sounds weirdly like Michelle Pfeiffer), you likely know his work. He appeared in the fourth season of Doctor Who spinoff Torchwood, starred in Fox crime show Lie to Me, played a doctor on the long-running soap ER, and appeared alongside Eminem in his movie 8 Mile. If you were enjoying the late ’90s/early ’00s renaissance of slasher films, you might have also enjoyed his work in I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, which he starred in alongside Freddie Prince, Jr., and Jennifer Love Hewitt.
Now, he’s in one of the biggest movie franchises based on a Young Adult series, reprising his role as Max in the new movie Insurgent, alongside young superstars Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort.
But even if he does have a distinguished career, the real question is whether Mekhi Phifer can cook. Tune into The Chew on March 17, 2015, for the answer to that question and so much more!
