The Chew April 10 2013
Recapo update: Here are the segments from this episode.
- The Chew: Grilled Korean Style Strip Steak Recipe & How To Buy Meats
- Barefoot Contessa: Basil Parmesan Mayonnaise Recipe & Beef Tenderloin
The Chew is celebrating Meat 101 on Wednesday, April 10 2013, with a special guest: the Barefoot Contessa. Plus, the show will take a field trip to New York’s Dickson’s Farmstand Meats, and there will be time for fun and games with the Calorie Card Sharks competition.
The Chew: Barefoot Contessa Ina Garten
Ina Garten is the popular television personality best known as the Barefoot Contessa. (Mario Batali, take note: Barefoot is better than wearing Crocs in the kitchen.) For her debut appearance on The Chew, the veteran TV chef will share a meat recipe from her Foolproof cookbook.
Did you know that the Barefoot Contessa also has her own line of frozen foods you can enjoy at home? I guess if promoting frozen food is the price they had to pay to get her booked on the show, it’s worth it, but I can’t imagine The Chew crew raving about packaged, processed ingredients on any other occassion.
Tune in for the Barefoot Contessa on The Chew April 10.
The Chew: Dickson’s Farmstand Meats
According to The Chew, Dickson’s Farmstand Meats is a New York City “meat mecca,” which sounds appetizing. Who knows what goodies are in store for The Chew when Michael Symon heads to the meat market?
When he returns from his jaunt, he will have something delicious to prepare, and all the sizzling noises will make our mouths water as usual. You should not watch The Chew on an empty stomach.
The Chew: Calorie Card Sharks
The Chew’s Clinton Kelly loves to play games, and this time he is presenting the Calorie Card Sharks game, to put audience members to the test in their knowledge of calorie content in popular foods and traditional meals.
That’s all coming up on a new episode of The Chew, premiering Wednesday, April 10 2013 on ABC. Check back right here for recaps and recipes.
