The Chew: Keri Russell The Americans
Keri Russell is perhaps best known for her time on Felicity, where she played a young high school graduate who made the rash decision to follow a boy to the college of his dreams, rather than the one of hers. That show was all about her choosing between two men, Ben and Noel, played by Scott Speedman and Scott Foley, respectively. The show is notable to some people for being one of the first TV projects J.J. Abrams worked on. J.J. Abrams is, of course, currently the master of some of the biggest sci-fi franchises, having made the last two Star Trek films and currently working on the new Star Wars movie. But that’s where his start was.
Now, while J.J. has moved on from his time running a teen drama, it seems Felicity alumni have, too. Scott Foley is, of course, currently an on-again, off-again member of B613, the covert organization on Scandal, and one of the few characters on that show to have a genuinely good heart. Meanwhile, Felicity herself, Keri Russell, is now kicking butt on The Americans, where she plays a KGB sleeper agent in 1980s America. It’s weird that all three of them are doing such cool and different things now. But if there was ever somehow a time travel crossover between The Americans and Scandal, I think Keri Russell’s Elizabeth and Scott Foley’s Jake would get along just fine.
Keri Russell also once played a waitress who loved pie in Waitress, but the real question here is can she cook? Find out on The Chew January 28, 2015, when she steps into the kitchen with The Chew crew.
