It is a big day for The Chew crew on Friday, February 7, as the hosts celebrate one of their own with Extra Value Friday: Daphne’s Baby Shower. Mom-to-be Daphne announced her pregnancy to launch the show’s third season last fall, and her due date is approaching. With a month or so to go before the arrival, she will be the center of attention for this special edition of Extra Value Friday.
The Chew Extra Value Friday: Daphne’s Baby Shower
Daphne Oz, the oldest of four Oz offspring, has been a co-host on The Chew since it launched in 2011. That was about a year after her wedding to investment fund analyst John Jovanovic, with whom she is now expecting her first child.
Daphne, age 27, is preparing to be a mom for the first time, and she probably could not have any better help when it comes to health and parenting than she will get from her own parents, Dr Oz and Lisa Oz.
But that doesn’t mean her friends and co-workers from The Chew won’t be a great help and support. They are going to be showing their love for Daphne and her impending arrival with Daphne’s Baby Shower, this Friday on the show.
The Chew Brunch Recipes: Swiss Chard and Sausage Frittata Recipe
Since it’s a baby shower, it is the perfect day to make a fancy brunch. Mario Batali is at the helm with a Swiss Chard and Sausage Frittata Recipe that is full of tasty goodness. Then Michael Symon will be making some Banana Bread Pudding for dessert, and I really want to taste test that one because it sounds spectacular.
Also on the menu for the February 7 show are two themed appetizers: Baby Cucumber Sandwiches and Baby Chicken Salad Puffs, from co-hosts Carla Hall and Clinton Kelly. I’m sure there will be a few surprises in store for Daphne as well during this special day. Will you be watching?
