The Chew: Slow Cooker Meal Ideas
In this day and age, everyone is looking for an easy way to make dinner without any fuss. That’s why slow cooker meal ideas are perfect for people in that position. You just throw everything into a pot or a slow cooker and walk away. Come back in eight hours and you have a delicious meal. You could even do this while you’re at work.
With so many Americans working and trying to raise a family at the same time, it seems like we’re all wishing for either a dinner we can make in under 20 minutes or a dinner we don’t have to think about making. Even if you’re not trying to raise a family and you’re on your own, no one wants to spend two hours making dinner. That’s why microwaveable meals are so popular.
The best part about slow cooker meals is their versatility. You could cook stews, pasta, and chili. You can cook meat dishes or vegetarian dishes. And basically anything you put in a slow cooker will taste delicious when you come back, so you don’t even necessarily need a recipe, as long as you know what you like and what tastes good together.
The Chew: Eat More Dessert
Last week, The Chew crew said that people are ordering less and less dessert at restaurants, because we’re so busy we’re unable to enjoy dessert after our meal. We’re in and we’re out. Carla Hall was especially saddened by this and wanted us to bring dessert back.
With easy slow cooker meal ideas, you can bring dessert back into your own home, because you’ll have so much time at dinner.
Tune into The Chew on March 10, 2015, for all of this and so much more!
