Carla Hall BBQ Coffee Rub Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup finely ground Coffee
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Chili Powder
  • 1 tablespoon freshly ground Black Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Paprika
  • 2 tablespoons Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon Cayenne
Carla Hall BBQ Coffee Rub Directions:
  • Combine ingredients. If stored in jar the rub will be good for up to six months.

Clinton Kelly made monogrammed coffee mugs for Father’s Day, Carla Hall shared her BBQ coffee rub recipe and they gave Mike a man cave makeover.

With Father’s Day fast approaching, you are going to need to get a gift fast. If you don’t have the time or the money to run to the store, try this awesome monogram and silhouette mug idea for Father’s Day.


Clinton Kelly Father’s Day Mug Craft Supplies:

  • white mug
  • glass paint marker or porcelain pen – can be used on ceramics
  • graphite transfer paper
  • monogram or silhouette printed on paper
  • coffee
  • cellophane or plastic bags

Clinton Kelly Father’s Day Mug Craft Directions:

  1. Cut out a monogram or silhouette that fits your mug and be sure to leave a small blank border around the edges.
  2. Cut transfer paper.  It should be almost the same size as monogram or silhouette cut-out. Also, make sure the mugs are clean.
  3. Place the darker side of the transfer paper on the mug.
  4. Use a pencil to trace your design.
  5. Remove paper to reveal transferred image.  Clean up any smudges with damp paper towel or pencil eraser.
  6. Using glass marker, trace over outline of image. Wipe any mistakes immediately with a cotton swab and alcohol-based glass cleaner.
  7. Fill in your design however you want. Clinton Kelly filled his in with polka dots.
  8. Once you’re done, let mugs sit for 8 hours and then bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes.
  9. Fill the mug coffee bags or the BBQ coffee rub recipe from above, tie with twine or ribbon and add a note.

The Chew: Mike’s Man Cave Makeover

The Chew headed to the home of ultimate dad, Mike, to build him a man cave. His family wrote into The Chew saying he is the best dad in the world but he never has any time to himself so Michael Symon and Clinton Kelly headed to his house and gave him his own man cave. They even hooked him up with a 55-inch TV that came with some crazy features like a voice command that gives you all the movies you want.
