  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds
  • 1 tsp Kosher salt
  • 1 sheet puff pastry dough (Dufour brand, if possible) – defrosted in fridge for 2 hours
  • 1 egg – beaten
  • 6 natural-casing hot dogs
  • 1/2 C prepared cranberry sauce – homemade or store-bought, whole berry
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds
  • 1 tsp onion flakes
  • 1/2 tsp granulated garlic
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • all-purpose flour – to roll out the dough
  • 2 C English sharp yellow cheddar – shredded
  • 1 C grainy Dijon mustard

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees with a rack in the center
  2. Toast the caraway and cumin seeds with the onion flakes in a small pan
  3. In a bowl, combine the seeds and onion flakes with salt, garlic, and sesame seeds then set aside
  4. Gently roll the dough out onto a floured surface and cut into 6 large triangles
  5. Add a sprinkle of cheese to each triangle
  6. Roll the hot dogs in the dough, starting from the long end
  7. Brush the rolled dogs with egg then add a good amount of the Everything topping
  8. Place the dogs on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake until golden, puffed, and crisp
  9. Combine the cranberry sauce and mustard in a small bowl to serve on the side for dipping
