Rachael Ray’s show was made part of the New York City Food and Wine Festival which meant all the proceeds for tickets sold to sit in her audience, went to No Kid Hungry. How neat is that? Well, to celebrate the special occasion, Rachael was joined by her fellow foodies and chefs, Scott Conant, Valerie Bertinelli, and Katie Lee. Together, they shared six different fantastic recipes, including Katie Lee’s healthy salad in a jaw, and Valerie Bertinelli’s sinfully delicious Sicilian love cake.

Scott Conant kicked off the show by sharing a spicy breakfast recipe called eggs in purgatory. This dish calls for poached eggs and a spicy tomato, chile sauce, and once you take a bite you’ll understand where the name comes from!

Rachael Ray: Grilled Chicken Paillard With Arugula & Pecorino

Katie Lee then took over the kitchen to share recipes for lunch, and her grilled chicken paillard with arugula and shaved pecorino was certainly a hit. Paillard simply means she pounded the chicken until it was really thin, so really what she made was a tasty grilled chicken salad!

Speaking of salads, Katie then shared a fantastic way to use leftovers and then take them on the go for a meal the next day. She explained how you can layer separate ingredients in a jar, dressing including, and then enjoy it wherever you are after giving it a good shake!

Rachael stepped back in her kitchen to share one of her own recipes, a favorite of her husband’s. She made beef milanese with a tomato, basil, and bitter greens raw sauce. This is one dish that makes you feel like you’re eating huge portions, when in reality, it’s a regular-sized steak!

Finally, Valerie Bertinelli took over the kitchen to make dessert. Because her husband is from Sicily, it makes sense that she would make a Sicilian love cake. This chocolatey, creamy, decadent cake is perfect for those who need to satisfy a sweet teeth, whether it’s a special occasion or not!
