Nicole Richie may have had a rocky start in Hollywood, but she’s ditched Paris Hilton and has become one of the most respected fashion icons today. Richie starts trends left and right. Her boho style, maxi skirts, feathers in her tresses and braids on braids have inspired a new generation of fashion starlets.

Her show Fashion Star is now in it’s second season. She is a judge and team mentor for designers on the show. The first season was a huge hit and was syndicated on several big networks. Richie was able to provide her experience and expertise to the designers in season one, but this season she will be working much more closely with them as they go head to head in team competitions. Richie’s team of designers is up against Jessica Simpson and John Varvatos.

Richie shares with Rachael how her audience can get a fashion transformation with just one quick trend. She helps the audience jazz things up with sparkly headpieces. Richie says the look is so simple, a nine-year-old could do it.
