Rachael Ray: Let’s Move! Cafeteria Cook-Off
It may be Monday, but it’s time to get moving with Rachael Ray and First Lady Michelle Obama. On Monday March 11 2013, Rachael and the First Lady are challenging schools in Mississippi to make healthier choices in the lunch room with the Let’s Move! Cafeteria Cook-Off.
Two cooks face off to serve healthy meals to their students. They both love to make a difference in kids’ lives by serving them healthy school meals. Team Fannie and Team Wendy go head to head to end the days of boring, greasy school lunches. Rachael teams them up with star cooks Ryan Scott and Sunny Anderson. The competition has a momentary pause when Scott sets off the school’s smoke alarm. If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen!
The judges are kids from the school that will approve the new meals for their fellow students. Rachael and the First Lady help make the final decision and the winner gets the coveted golden lunch tray award. See who Rachael is dubbing “The Iron Chef of Lunch Ladies.”
Rachael Ray: First Lady Michelle Obama
While on their field trip to Mississippi, Rachael interviews First Lady Michelle Obama. She tells Rachael about her passion to get kids healthy and what she snacked on as a kid.
Rachael and the First Lady get a Q&A session in with the kids of Northside and Eastside Elementary Schools. Rachael gets challenged to do a cartwheel for the kids.
Then, Rachael challenges the First Lady to a pop quiz. She knows a lot about nutrition, but how will she fair in music, math, science and geography?
