Live With Kelly: Marc Forgione White House Garden Challenge

Marc Forgione White House Garden Challenge

Iron Chef Marc Forgione was joined by Kelly, Bryant, and the First Lady, who all got to taste the dish he created using vegetables from the White House. Marc called creating the dish a challenge, because he just opened a steak house! But he created a great dish using a variety of vegetables that anyone can try at home!

The dish that Marc created was called the White House Garden Crostini. The dish featured lavender crusted goat cheese, sauteed onions, and a balsamic vinegar reduction. Marc also added lots of fresh herbs such as sage and thyme. Kelly, Bryant and Mrs. Obama had a taste, and they all proclaimed that it was delicious. Keep an eye out for Marc’s recipe on the “Live” website.

Marc also had a great tip for broccoli and cauliflower: with a knife, you can skim the surface of the broccoli heads to create a couscous-like dish that is healthy and delicious!

Marc’s newest restaurant is called American Cut and is located in Atlantic City. Plus, don’t forget to check out Mrs. Obama’s book, American Grown.

About the author

After my childhood dream of achieving Olympic figure skating gold fell through, I moved on to Plan B: become a writer. I've been writing since I can remember, and consider myself lucky to be making a career out of it. I graduated from Marymount Manhattan College in 2011, and since that time, I have worked as a writer, editor and blogger. Luckily for this site, my love of TV borders on obsession.
