Kelly & Michael: October 6 2014
Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan had a great start to the week on October 6 2014. Matthew Broderick came by to talk about his new play with Nathan Lane called It’s Only a Play, which is about a play’s opening night and waiting for the reviews, and he was absolutely hilarious. Ansel Elgort also came by to talk about his new movie Men, Women and Children and his other passion of making electronic music. It was a really fun day.
Kelly & Michael: Inbox Calories + Accents
Kelly & Michael ended the day by opening up he Inbox and reading fan messages. Kelly & Michael wanted to just stare into the camera and not say anything, but they couldn’t do it. One message said that her daughter-in-law was expecting quadruplets and had to consume 4,000 calories a day during the pregnancy. Those children are 8 now. Another fan said that she loved Kelly’s English accent, but had some suggestions.

Kelly & Michael: Athletes + Happiness
Kelly & Michael started the day by talking about Kelly’s son’s cross-country race, which he did very well in. They then talked about how shaving does help athletes and a round-table discussion that Michael participated in about how to find happiness outside of your career and what to do when your career’s ended.
Kelly & Michael: Blake Lively, Gone Girl + Breakfast
They then talked about how Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are expecting their first baby together. They went on to talk about how Gone Girl is number one at the box office and Michael couldn’t even get into the movie. Annabelle is a close second. There’s also a breakfast in England that you have to sign a medical waiver for.

Matthew Broderick came by to talk to Kelly & Michael about his new play It’s Only a Play and what it’s been like to work with Nathan Lane again. He’s actually worked with a lot of legends and talked about how surreal it’s been for him. He also described how New York has changed over the years.
Kelly & Michael: Ansel Elgort
Ansel Elgort also came by to talk to Kelly & Michael about his new movie Men, Women and Children, which he called current but also timeless. He also talked about his other passion of making electronic music, his old ballet classes, and how he used to make money singing on the subway.
