Salma Hayek is an actress originally from Veracruz, Mexico. As a young woman, she moved to the United States to learn English and study acting under Stella Adler, which led her to a successful film career in Hollywood. In 2002, Salma was nominated for an Academy Award for her role as Mexican surrealist painter Frida Kahlo in the biopic film, Frida.


Salma’s next role is in the upcoming crime thriller Savages. In the film, which is directed by Oliver Stone, Salma stars as the leader of a Mexican drug cartel who kidnaps the girlfriend of two marijuana growers. Savages features a talented ensemble cast that also stars Taylor Kitsch, Aaron Johnson, Benicio Del Toro, John Travolta, and Blake Lively. On Thursday, July 5 2012, Salma will chat with the hosts about her exciting new role.
