Sally Field has been one of America’s favorite actresses since her popular 1960s sitcom, “Gidget,” in which she played a boy-crazy surfer girl. Over the years Sally has starred in countless movies and television shows. Her box office hit films include Steel Magnolias with Julia Roberts and Forrest Gump with Tom Hanks. Also, don’t forget that the Academy really, really likes her: Sally won the Academy Award for Best Actress on not one but two occasions, for Norma Rae in 1979 and Places in the Heart in 1984. The prolific actress has also won three Emmy Awards, two Golden Globes, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Talk about a career!

Sally is now appearing in the highly anticipated summer blockbuster, The Amazing Spider-Man. In the reboot of the “Spider-Man” series, Sally will portray Peter Parker’s beloved Aunt May. The film also stars Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker himself, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Rhys Ifans as the villain Dr. Curt Connors,  and Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben. Tune in on Monday, July 2 2012, to see the hosts interview the legendary Sally Field.
