Tessanne Chin made her debut appearance on Live! It’s no wonder she nabbed that coveted trophy! The song will soon be on iTunes for your listening pleasure.

Tessanne Chin: Choosing Team Adam

After Tessanne blew the audience away with her impressive pipes, she chatted with Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan. When asked why she originally tried out for The Voice, Tessanne explained that she had felt pretty stuck “on a treadmill” in life, and wanted to try something new.

Tessanne, who has worked making reggae music in the past, has always dreamed of having “an international” career. Her friend Shaggy, a fellow reggae musician, suggested she use The Voice as a way to break into the music industry. “God bless Shaggy!” Tessanne said, and Kelly suggested she name her first album after him.

Tessanne also revealed that she chose Team Adam because Adam Levine is “a musical chameleon,” which she aspires to be. Tessanne has won $100,000, a recording contract, and a pretty fancy trophy. Now that she’s making her dream come true, she’s going to relax and unwind. Tessanne plans to go home for a few days and indulge in some good food!

After my childhood dream of achieving Olympic figure skating gold fell through, I moved on to Plan B: become a writer. I've been writing since I can remember, and consider myself lucky to be making a career out of it. I graduated from Marymount Manhattan College in 2011, and since that time, I have worked as a writer, editor and blogger. Luckily for this site, my love of TV borders on obsession.
