Neon Trees: Sophomore Album “Picture Show”
Neon Trees are a popular pop-rock band from Provo, Utah, made up of members Tyler Glenn, Chris Allen, Branden Campbell and Elaine Bradley. They first rose to national attention with the release of their hit debut album, Habits, in 2010. Now, the band– who are known for their fun, over-the-top, glam rock style– have a new album called Picture Show.
Picture Show was released in 2012 and features the hit single, “Everybody Talks,” the song that conquered the TV and radio this past summer. In support of their best-selling sophomore album, Neon Trees have been traveling the world throughout the past year. The last time they appeared on Live! With Kelly & Michael, Neon Trees performed “Everybody Talks” for the audience. They’ve actually visited Live! several times throughout the past couple of years, which may be because lead singer Tyler Glenn’s mom is a big fan of the show.
Neon Trees: “Lessons In Love” Performance
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Neon Trees performed a new song called “Lessons in Love. The fun performance got the whole audience going (especially Kelly). True to his band’s name, Tyler Glenn sang from a very cool neon green mic stand. There were also lots of glittery guitars involved.
Neon Trees: On Tour With Maroon 5
Neon Trees are currently on tour with Maroon 5 and Owl City, as they reported once they had finished performing. On Saturday, February 15, they will perform at New York’s mega venue, Madison Square Garden.
Unfortunately, Tyler Glenn’s mom, Debbie, was once again M.I.A. This time, she’s been stricken with the flu. “She just can’t win,” Tyler said. Maybe the band needs to stop coming by Live! Tyler revealed that Debbie entered the show’s Academy Awards contest, so maybe her luck will return.
