Kelly & Michael Welcomed “American Idol” Runner-Up Kree Harrison
Recently, 23-year-old Candice Glover was crowned American Idol Season 12 Champion. But while runner-up Kree Harrison didn’t win the competition, there’s definitely a bright future ahead for the talented young country singer.
Kree, also 23, hails from Port Arthur, Texas. As a child, Kree moved to Nashville in order to pursue her dream of becoming a country superstar. Although she displayed one impressive performance after another on Season 12 of American Idol, Kree was eliminated during last week’s finale. Still, her debut single will soon be released, so Kree isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Kree Harrison: “All Cried Out” Performance
Kree shared her talents on the Live! With Kelly & Michael stage. She performed her debut single “All Cried Out,” a slow country ballad. Kree sang with the help of a guitar player, and when they finished performing, she spoke with the hosts about a very exciting upcoming event.
Kree Harrison: Performing at Grand Ole Opry
During her time on American Idol, judge and fellow country singer Keith Urban told Kree that she would one day perform on the Grand Ole Opry stage. Now, that dream is turning into a reality, and Kree will be making her Opry debut on June 4 2013. Obviously, she’s absolutely thrilled at the thought of performing in the legendary venue. “I’m going to try my best to not just kiss the floor the whole time!” she told Kelly and Michael.
If you can’t make it to the Grand Ole Opry, you can catch Kree Harrison on the American Idol summer tour. It seems that American Idol was just the beginning for this rising country superstar.
