Janelle Arthur “Dumb Blonde” Performance

The song that sealed her fate was Dolly Parton’s “Dumb Blonde.” This was the top five, so it was the time to pull out all the stops with an amazing number.

The song seemed to be on the edge of breaking through, but it never reached a climax. It was sung well and there was nothing wrong with her vocals. The problem was just that it was underwhelming. I noticed that almost every other performance had Janelle with her guitar. Unfortunately, this was a very forgettable performance.

Janelle Arthur “You Keep Me Hangin’ On” Performance

Janelle sang The Supreme’s “You Keep Me Hangin’ On” in a country music style. It was a smart choice for her voice and she made the song her own. If she put out an album with that feel and tone, it would be a fast hit.
