Pierce said he prefers the four seasons of weather that you get in New York, as opposed to the weather in LA, which never changes.

The 20th anniversary of Frasier is coming up soon. Pierce said he doesn’t realize how much time has passed until he sees his younger self in rerun episodes on the treadmill at the gym.

Now he is back on Broadway in a Chekov-inspired comedy, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. The cast also includes Sigourney Weaver.

Pierce had nothing but good things to say about everyone involved, including a trio of young actors. “We all learn from each other,” he said of the relationship between the veterans and the newbies.

Kelly & Michael: Broadway Late Seating Policy

Michael wondered how the crowd reaction from the audience can surprise the performers. Pierce explained that the show starts with a quiet scene, and at one performance, a woman started screaming in the audience.

He later found out that the screaming woman did not appreciate being held back. If you arrive late to a Broadway show, they don’t let you take your seat until a predetermined point in the show. This woman did not want to wait, so she rushed into the theatre and started screaming as she was escorted out.

You can see Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike at the Golden Theatre, but don’t be late.
