Mark Harmon came by to talk to Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan about the newest NCIS, NCIS: New Orleans, and I was interested to hear what made this NCIS different. Harmon really is one of the biggest TV stars in the world. He got the biggest reaction.

Harmon’s an athlete, a quarterback, and is in great shape. What’s his secret? Pilates. “It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done,” he laughed. It really is difficult. He does watch what he eats too though. He used to eat anything, but now he’s more careful. His guilty pleasure is peanut butter, which isn’t too bad. His dad’s mother always used peanut butter to create an all American.

She also created one of People’s sexiest men alive. He later spoofed it in Saturday Night Lvie back in the ’80s. The clip they showed of him walking down the runway was absolutely hilarious, but Harmon couldn’t watch it. He had talked about what segment he wouldn’t want to do before his appearance, and he ended up doing it. There was one person who was laughing the whole time, and it was his wife.

Kelly & Michael: NCIS Review

NCIS has really been around forever and has made such an impact in TV. This is actually the 12th season of NCIS, and it’s the number one drama in the world, which is incredible. This has been a really interesting year for the show too. They’ve done six shows, and four have been huge. Last year they lost a couple of cast members rather unexpectedly, and this year now is more about the team.


There’s also the spinoff NCIS: New Orleans, which Harmon is the executive producer on. He’ll also be on the show, but it’ll be organic. Harmon’s going to have a very busy schedule.

Harmon also worked with one of Michael’s old cohorts, Tony Gonzales. He’s great to work with and he’s really good at this. He has a great smile, and Harmon said that’s all he has to do. He plays an agent and did a great job.

The clip showed Harmon’s character overhearing two people talk about him. NCIS  and NCIS: New Orleans air back-to-back on Tuesdays on CBS.
