Mariah Carey is the best-selling female artist of all time, a multiple Grammy Award winner and now an American Idol judge. However, she’s also a “super mom” to twins Moroccan and Monroe, who are almost two. When Mariah sat down with Kelly and Michael she shared the latest on her adorable growing babies.

Mariah explained that Monroe is very girly and loves to try on her mother’s shoes. On the other hand, Moroccan (“Roc,” as she called him) is a true boy, and he and mom like to watch movies together.

Kelly said that for any little girl, Mariah Carey must be the ultimate mom because she loves girly, sparkly things. Mariah said that she even has an entire makeup and hair room in her house. As a teenager she went to beauty school, so she offered to do Kelly’s hair.

Mariah Carey: Vow Renewal With Nick Cannon

Each year, Mariah and her husband, Nick Cannon, renew their vows. It just so happens that the twins’ second birthday coincides with their parents’ fifth wedding anniversary, April 30. Last year, Nick and Mariah’s renewal was held at the top of the Eiffel Tower. This year, Mariah hinted that it will be Disney-themed. “It’s more for the kids than for us,” she admitted.


Mariah Carey: Movie Minute With Mariah

Mariah is a huge movie buff, so Kelly and Michael devised the perfect game to play with her. Mariah identified famous movie quotes in “Movie Minute with Mariah.” Some of her correct answers included “I’ll have what she’s having” (from When Harry Met Sally) and “I’m sorry that people are jealous of me” (from Mean Girls).

Mariah Carey: American Idol Judge

Mariah now helps foster the careers of aspiring young singers as a judge on American Idol. Mariah is not just a singer, but also a songwriter and producer, so she explained that her “many hats” help her make decisions on the show. Although Mariah never experienced anything as high-pressure as American Idol when she was trying to make it, she did begin on television shows. She had her first paid singing appearance at the age of 13, and she’s thankful for the experience she had growing up in the industry.
