Joanne Froggatt came by to talk to Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan about her show Downton Abbey, which I really like. She plays a demure lady’s maid and is also a Golden Globe winner. I loved her dress.

Joanne Froggatt talked to Kelly & Michael about ‘Downton Abbey.’ (Featureflash /

Kelly said that every time she sees her, she’s so surprised because she’s so glamorous and she doesn’t get to do that on Downton Abbey. She loves getting to dress up and surprise people. Michael congratulated her on the Golden Globe. It was a very exciting night. Her award was second, so she got to relax the rest of the night. She didn’t think she was going to win, so she just sat there and clapped for the winner until she realized they called her name. She also talked a bit about her speech. She knew a bit about what she wanted to say, but she didn’t think she’d get to say it then.

While it’s fun to dress up, it’s easier for her not having to wear such elaborate costumes on Downton Abbey. She was really jealous of the other actresses at first, but now she likes it better. She just has to do one or two costume fittings per season, while the others have to do it once or twice a day. She can have time to herself and take naps and basically do what she wants.

Kelly & Michael: ‘Downton Abbey’ Season 5

In the clip of Downton Abbey, her character was freaking out. Someone else said she had to tell someone what happened, but she refused. It was intense. Kelly said she’s so good. It’s such hard work to pull off. It’s been a year since the attack. Season 5 starts in a more positive place and they start to heal as a couple, but it’s difficult because of Mr. Green’s death. She wouldn’t say who killed Mr. Green or what happens during the rest of the season. But she said season 5 is really strong.

There’s romance, drama, and a little bit of tragedy, but not too much. Downton Abbey airs on Sundays on PBS. I’m going to try to catch up.
